TEDDY BEAR
Old and worn, sad and sorry,
looking for a happy home…
Approximately 12 inches in length when stood straight
This teddy bear might look like he islaughing, but he is sad, sad on the inside… he hasn’t been played with inmany years, stuck in an attic yearning for someone to love him again.
We don’t know how old he is, but we do know he is old.
We don’t know who he is, who is maker was, or even his name!
We know that it is rare to find an open mouth bear, but we can’t find amakers mark anywhere, we initially thought German, like Hermann Zotty… butthis would be an uneducated guess… so we will leave it to the experts let usknow or bid like crazy for such a super duper rare bear (possibly).
Not being familiar with Teddies… we will try to guess what questions youmight have, and answer them below (If you have other questions, please ask).
He stands 12″ tall, however his right leg does appear to be shorter,or maybe just at a different angle.
He has a type of felt which appears to have hardened over the years on allhis paws,
His legs, arms and head are all swivel adjustable… articulated.
He probably hasn’t eaten in a long time, as squeezing his belly causes asqueeking sound. (As this may appear cruel, we only did it once).
His nose protrudes out, and stitching can be seen around nose and mouth.
His mouth is open, no teeth visible… (so must be very old… we can ruleout very young!)
His back is flat, no visible hump.
He is stitched down the back in the middle… not at the sides or down thefront.
We don’t know what has been used to fill him, his body and arms feel soft,his head feels harder, could possibly be straw.
We are assuming his eyes are plastic… … not thinking of our own safety,we did prod the bear with a stick… in his eye… and it had a dull soundrather than a ‘tink’ type sound.
He is thread bear, his ears have wear, his nose is a little worn… thepads on his hands and feet are worn and hard.
We don’t know what his coat is made of, but it is old, and needs someonewho knows how to bathe a bear without risk of loosing limbs to perform the task.
Once again… he does need a home, he wants friends, he wants to be happy!
