Beautiful vintage mohair teddy bear approx late 1940’s to early 1950’s- probably Chiltern. This bear has been in my family since new and is in very good condition. Obviously the mohair has become a little discoloured over time. There is some small damage to the mohair on the underside of the right arm- possibly from being put too close to a fire? Please see photo. Also the left eye has a v small mark on it- again please see photo. Finally the left paw pad has a small mark on it- please see photo.
He measures approx 21ins high and has cloth pads with black stitched claws. The arms are quite long and he has quite chubby thighs. I think the eyes are glass but I can’t definitely confirm that. His nose and mouth are stitched in black and in excellent condition.
