Meet Morris, a lovely big, chubby vintage teddy bear, who is, I think a Deans mouse-eared bear from the 1940s-50s. He is a big 27 tall and quite chunky. His head is stuffed with wood wool, his body feels like it might be a mixture of wood wool and kapok because its softer than his head but more solid than his arms and legs, which are stuffed with something softer and more saggy around his joints. He is fully jointed and his leg and neck joints are moving smoothly, but arm joints are quite stiff and dont really want to move. He has quite a hump. He has his original lovely big, dark amber, glass eyes backed with felt and his original nose and mouth stitching. He has a lot of his light golden mohair remaining, with balder patches on the fronts of his legs and arms, his snout and on his tummy. His paw pads have all been replaced with skin-coloured felt and he has a felt patch on either side of his snout where there are holes/frayed areas. He has three claws on each pad, but I cant tell if theyre original or not. Morris is a lovely bear – his photos dont entirely do him justice – and hes looking for a new home.Really sorry, will only post within the UK – no international postage. He is a heavy bear, but if the postage is less than Ive quoted, I will refund the difference.
