I am offering a Vintage and hard to find STEIFF Jointed Mohair TIGER made for a short period in the 1950’s.
This TIGER is made from black and white and gold mohair.
He has green and black glass eyes, and airbrushed nose and mouth detailing.
He is fully jointed at his head and all four legs, making him easy to pose in several different positions. His joints are still nice and firm, and he can hold a pose well, without his legs slipping.
The TIGER has his STEIFF button and Yellow Ear Tag with fully readable number of 5310 and I have added a picture of this.
He measures 10cm or 4 inches tall.
He had a short production period of just 6 years, between 1952 and 1958 and more details about him can be found on page 318 of the 1947 – 2003 Steiff Sortiment.
He is in very good condition, the colouring of his mohair is still bright and fresh; and I don’t believe he was ever played with.
