Vintage old Large Terrier Dog Vintage Old Poodle Dog.Monty is this dogs name, and I can’t quite decide if he is a Terrier or a Poodle ! Not knowing too much about this vintage pup I will describe him as best I can.Monty would stand at about 15 inches tall if he could stand properly, but his joints need to be tightened if he is to stand for long. There are gaps between body and legs and he is rod jointed I think. However he does look rather handsome and playful resting on his belly. His length is about 15 inches from tail to snout, so he is a good sized dog. His face has glass eyes, a plastic looking nose and a red felt tongue or mouth. Monty is straw or wood wool filled throughout.His neck is disk jointed. As you can see from the photos his neck needs attention and some repair , but for now he is happy to wear his orange plastic collar which I think suits him well. Monty’s fur feels very much like a soft lambs wool and is patchy in places with overall good coverage on his legs. I am not sure of his body , what that is made of , or if it used to be brown but I think could be age related marks. All this being said, Monty is still a handsome boy and like any old fella just wants a decent retirement and a bit of TLCPlease do take a look at the photos as they also form part of the description.This item is not intended to be used as a toy, as it does not have the safety features associated with modern toys.
