Looking for a loving home is Albert the vintage Teddy bear and Missy the sweet little Peg doll. They have been together with me for a long time and I cannot bare to separate them! Albert is approx 16” tall. I bought him from an on line auction site but know nothing about his age or origin. He has quite a lot of his original fur, although it is patchy in places, especially on his cheeks (probably been kissed away over the years!). His right ear is coming away from his head and he has a hole in his left leg paw which exposes his wood shaving stuffing. He is missing a thread claw on his left paw. Albert is jointed and he still makes a tiny growl if tilted hard.
Missy is a sweet little peg doll, approx 6.5” in height. She has a cross look on her face (possibly because she has ‘FOREIGN’ stamped on her back). Her hair may have been repainted, as she seems to have some damage to the back of her head. Her dress is obviously not original, but still has some age and has been lovingly hand made in patriotic colours. I think she dates from the early 1900’s but not being an expert, I can’t be sure. Please look closely at the photos before bidding and I will try to answer any questions as best as I can, not being a toy collector.
