I described this bear as vintage German schuco as it was most likely purchased in Essen , west Germany approx 1961, so if you have any more suggestions or feel that you can provide a better description please do let me know, if you are not happy with the pictures or description, please do not bid or buy as I will not accept return of this bear, despite it being a very nice bear that has been cared for for a long time in our numerous homes over the years !
The arms and legs are articulated, but not the head and the body is stuffed with either straw or sawdust which makes the bear quite stiff to the touch, a little hump back shape on his back and I know over the years he has been to hospital once for a little stitch here and there to help keep the legs, arms and ears in good condition about 22 years ago.
That’s as much as I can offer to describe this teddy who stands , with some help, at 6 inches tall and is about 4 inches when sitting down to rest
Please look carefully at the photographs which are the best description to this bear who has been treated quite well to my personal knowledge for nearly 60 years.
This is the first photo shoot for the bear in his life and he did rather well with some good poses which show his lovely golden hair and most importantly the seams that to a trained expert eye may tell the full story and history of his pedigree, any way, I hope the pictures help and that somebody will feel inspired to give him a new lovely home for the next 50 years or so , because I can’t do that and this bear deserves better !
