Very early teddy bear dating from before the 2nd world war. It appears to be excelsior stuffed as there is a crunch when squeezed. Looks like the back has been hand stitched to seal up once stuffed. I dont think this is a repair. I have taken a photo of the joint and you can just about make out the stuffing inside. All limbs are loose and have metal peg/pins attatching them to the body. The
The feet and ears are felt and that is apparent with early bears as to is the elongated snout. Im fairly sure the eyes are glass.
The bear came in a lot full of American and German items so may be of that origin? Steiff maybe?
