Vintage Antique Old Teddy Bear.Vintage Old Straw Filled Teddy Bear
“Sam” stands about 15 inches tall, he is straw or wood wool filled throughout , has lovely big glass eyes , and stitched features . His pads are a lovely soft, cream coloured velvet and he is five way jointed. His plush has good coverage overall with some thinning ,balding and patches to the arm, chest and joints. His head wobbles a bit, but is still securely attached.Overall this bear is in good condition for his age, which I think is from the 1950s. His sailor outfit is not original, but I rather think it suits him, and is included in the sale.Sam does show signs of age and love-wear.He is not intended to be used as a toy as he does not have safety features associated with modern teddy bears.He lives in a smoke free home.
