Todays the day the Teddy Bears have a picnic!……Thats the Tune that springs to mind when i look at this Charming Vintage Bear.
Had this in my collection quite a few years, not sure of make but very similar to a Chiltern Bear.
No Makers Mark but perhaps would have been one on his foot maybe?
He’s an extremely Handsome Chap and back in his day i bet he would have been quite expensive.
Condition wise, lovely for his age, obvious wear on the Mohair but this is what makes him so Timeworn and lovely.
Seems to be stuffed with Wool type Wadding.
Leather Patches on his Paws are showing wear.
He once had a growl inside as you can feel something hard in his chest but obviously long gone now.
His eyes have been replaced with Black Buttons.
Comes with a cute Grosgrain Bow!
He’s an adorable fellow and looks lovely on Display!
