Meet Duchess, a sweet black poodle who is 16″ long (not including tail). She is an Alpha Farnell Hygienic Soft Toy pyjama case from the 1940s-50s and she still has her label on her tummy. Her zipper still works and she has pink silky inner lining. She has a long snout with original nose and mouth stitching (reddish pink mouth stitching, black nose thread) and original amber glass eyes. Her black fur is all complete with no real bald patches, just a few slightly more worn areas, but she clearly has been well-loved so her fur is a bit flattened and rather matted – I suspect from sitting on a bed or being cuddled for years. Her head is hard stuffed (wood wool?) and disc jointed, but her legs are softer. Please see photos for more detail. Duchess is a lovely old dog who is looking for a new home.
