This is a lovely large 23 Vintage Irish teddy bear made by Erris Toys which became Tara Toys in the early 50’s.Made from silky golden mohair with five jointed limbs and head.I think the felt paw pads are replacements, although the early Made in Eire stitched red label is stitched into foot seam which dates this as 1940s as the later label, Made in the Republic of Ireland was introduced in 1950.The original nose and mouth stitching is partly missing.The body is filled with kapok and wood wool stuffing to head.Amber/Brown glass eyes.Some sparse areas of fur.23 Tall From a smoke free home.Please ask if you would like to see more photos of ted and for postal quotes for international shipping.
