A Vintage 1914 – 1920s American Stick Teddy Bear that has the typical features of early bears of this type with its oversized head, elongated muzzle, noticeable hump, sparse mohair pile in a rich cinnamon colour, straw filled, and cloth covered paw pads. His mohair plush ears are gathered and pushed into the seam openings at the back of the head, he has a small black stitched nose and mouth, and small burnt toffee coloured glass eyes. Fully jointed and in keeping with his age he shows signs of wear and tear including a number of splits to his right arm and paw, left shoulder, and left side of chest, See photographs. Length 18. A really charming example of a very early American Stick bear from this period, now over 100 years old.
