This lovely vintage teddy bear is fully jointed – joints are a little loose and is made from a sparse blond coloured mohair. Has lost some stuffing from around the neck joint, so head is very wobbly! He has a large hump on his back.
Unsure of maker – probably British – and think was made during the 1930s. He is filled with a soft kapok filling throughout, with just a little wood wool in his muzzle. He has replacement black and blue glass eyes with a protruding snout with a black stitched nose and mouth.
Two of his pads are fawn coloured pads (think these are original), need repairing as have large holes in them and kapok stuffing is visible. His two feet pads are covered in a brown cotton material. He has rather large feet which taper in at the ankle – please see photos.
He is made in a blond coloured mohair which has worn very thin nowadays. He measures approximately 19″ in height and has a non working growler in his very fat tummy.
He is a lovely old boy who is looking for a new home for the New Year!!
