Very rare vintage teddy bear which was purchased in Bombay India in 1945.
I have never seen another one like this.
The bear still has the original clothes and about half of the fur pile the legs being better than the head
There is wear and tear to the fabric on the feet and there is evidence of darning in several places. The bear appears to be stuffed with kapok.
The bear measures approximately 18 inches in length (45 cm)
The bear was purchased in 1945 when my father was in the Navy.
It has been well loved but it is time for the bear to move on.
Because of the rarity I would welcome any information on the bear.
