VERY RARE! Bing 1908 “All-In-One” WoolPlush Miniature Teddy Bear
Introducing Alice! She’s a wonderful all original bear dating to around 1908 and was made by the German company Bing! A similar example features heavily in Ken Yenke’s book “Bing Bears and Toys”, with excellent photos on pages 42, 48 and 71 (please see the photographs in the listing to show the pages).
She’s tiny and only measures around 8.5 inches tall. She is fully jointed, but with her being so small, her leg joints are pinned jointed, and she was designed with no hand pads.
She’s fully stuffed with woodwool and is covered in brushed wool, which makes her very rare. She also features Bing’s “All-In-One” ear design, meaning she has no seams at the back of her head.
Alice has a very cute little face, and the most lovely shape with long arms, a small hump, and typical Bing nose stitching on the top of her muzzle which is in wonderful condition. She also has tiny original boot button eyes.
Bing bears are just so special, and are a must for any antique bear collection.
She’s photographed with her friend Sally the black dolly, who comes with her, along with her vintage dress and bloomers.
She’s also photographed with another Bing teddy bear from around 1920, and a very rare Steiff Zwitscherpaar (Chirp Couple) from around 1932, both of which are for sale, and will be listed separately.
