Two small vintage or antique teddy bears with glass eyes ~ both in well-loved condition!
Age & origin of both bears are unknown.
Sitting bear measures approximately 9cm (3.54″) height from top of right ear to seat and weighs 23.6g. Has glass eyes and a decorative faded silk or satin ribbon around its neck.
Other bear measures approximately 9.5cm (3.74″) and weighs 11.7g. Has one tiny glass eye. Arms & head are jointed but legs are now loosely stitched into position.
Please see all the photos for condition. Both bears have very little fur and are virtually bald, with an occasional surface mark. Sitting bear has a small fabric patch on inside of left leg & a tiny hole on right side of snout (possibly wood wool/straw & kapok stuffing just about visible?). As mentioned previously, the other bear only has one eye and both legs are loosely stitched to body. Has lots of remedial stitches & repairs especially to left leg where a small amount of wood wool/straw stuffing is visible, as well as protruding ends of original pin(s).
