Here’s a wonderful, original gingery-gold velvet Farnell Dinkie dog designed by Chloe Preston c.1920s. In gorgeous condition with original neck ribbon, Dinkie’s head swivels and he’s stuffed mostly with kapok. He stands 9 cms (3.5″) high. He has bulging glass googly eyes and a black-embroidered nose, plus a cheeky red felt tongue. Dinkie’s legs are internally wired, and there’s a small rust mark to the front of his left paw, which is probably from the wire. Overall, though, he’s in great shape for a centurian pooch.
