This is Stanley, a dear old jointed, mohair Hermann bear, dating to the 1930s . He is 14″ tall, with original amber and black glass eyes, and a horizontally stitched nose, typical of Hermann’s early bears. He has had all of his pads replaced and his left ear is a little loose, but otherwise his fabric is sound. His biggest drawback is that at some point he has had something spilt on his tummy, like tippex, see pics. I have not tried to remove it myself so it could be that it can be sponged out. It does not detract from his lovely looks, and if he was dressed in a little sweater the nobody would be any the wiser. He has a barely working growler in his tummy. He is clean and fresh smelling, displays well and would make a lovely addition to any old bear collection.
Please note that the dog, Chen, is not included in this listing but available in a separate listing.
