Simon is a lovely mohair bear looking for a new home. He is a nice solid bear with a fairly good covering of mohair, his tummy and left arm have the most hair loss, his back is still furry and fluffy.
Simon has glass eyes and an unusual moulded hard felt nose, this has some wear to it, unfortunately he has lost his mouth stitching. His velvet pads appear to be original and are in good condition.
He has a label in his back seam that says Made in England in red on a white background, I believe this and the moulded felt nose make him an early Pedigree bear, possibly from the 1930s. He is 20″ from the top of his head to his heel.
Simon is a solid, chunky bear, he is five-way disc jointed, his head is a little wobbly. His head and torso are stuffed with woodwool and his limbs with kapok.
