Sprite is a sweet little vintage mohair open mouthed bear dating to the early 1950s. He is 7″ tall with glass eyes, typical Steiff shape hand stitched nose, shaved muzzle and a contrasting bib of mohair on his chest. His mohair is an oatmeal colour and he has a non working mechanism in his straw filled tummy. His pale contrasting mohair on his chest leads me to think he could possibly be Steiff. His mohair coverage is still excellent though a little flattened in parts. All paw pads are original but have small holes in them but otherwise he is in good shape for a bruin of his age. He smells good and comes with his little vintage knitted tank top. He would make a lovely addition to any bear collection.
