Meet “Rolo” the Hermann Bear with wonderful golden long wavy mohair tipped with dark auburn, still vibrant as the day he was born.
His overall coverage is 90% approx. with just a little thinning on his face, tummy, arms and legs and back, but due to his long mohair this is hardly noticeable.
He has orange/black glass eyes, his paw pads have been replaced with felt, and possibly his embroidered black nose and mouth have been re-done at some time, but it has been done well and doesn’t detract from him, he has a shaved beige snout
He has wood straw filling, which is overall still good and firm, with just his right arm at the top slightly soft where it has moved round, but again unless you look for it is not immediately apparent.
His fur has flattened slightly on the back of his legs and his back from sitting for so long,
He has a slight open seam on the front of his left leg, but this is not really noticeable, it is approx. 1″ the filling is still retained, so I have left it as it is, as you have to look fairly hard to see it, the last 2 photos show the seam in question
He is not pristine but he is nearly 70 years old, but he is in good condition for his age and still a very sound strong old Bear with a wonderful colour coat.
Kept in my display cabinet for the last 10yrs +
