RARE 1930’s MINI ALPACA CHAD VALLEY DADDY BEAR – 13CM (5.5)TALL.
This small bear was first advertised in a Chad Valley 1938 catalogue as part of the “Bears Tea Party”.
This is Daddy Bear and he is just 13cm (5.5) tall. A Mummy Bear and Baby Bear were also produced please see my other auction for baby bear
The bear is made of beige alpaca which is in good condition. His deliberately flat face is shaved.He is four way jointed; arms and legs move but not his head He has small amber and black glass eyes and his original label in red writing ( please see photo 2 )And has original black nose and mouth stitching and the cutest tiny beige felt ears, with beige felt foot pads. The paws are shaved alpaca and He is stuffed throughout with kapok.
