Very unusual Chiltern Teddy Bear, dates to 1930s he was designed to stand up, so has a low centre of gravity with stumpy legs. He has velvet pads and carded feet, and unusually long arms which are wired and can be posed. He has a typical chiltern nose with two upward stitches. (Faded) glass eyes with painted backs, ears set into the side seam of his head. He still has 4 stitched claws on his hands , and 4 out the original 5 on his feet. There is damage to both velvet paw pads and the card has moved. He can no longer stand on his own as his stuffing as sagged a little bit. His head is stuffed with wood wool and the rest is kapock. His fur is worn in places and he is faded on the front but you can see his original sandy colour on his back.
