RARE US Zone Label Tag Steiff Polar Bear with button & collar- Old Antique Teddy
This is Andrew. He’s a REALLY rare Steiff Polar Bear (Eisbaer) in wonderful condition. His Art No. is 1312,0 and he dates to between 1950 and 1953 and is in all original condition. He’s just over 8 inches long, firmly fully stuffed with woodwool and covered in a clean ash blonde/white mohair – wonderful coverage! He has lots original features; original blue glass eyes, original facial and claw stiching, original felt pads and original collar with bell! Andrew also retains his Steiff ear label and button, and his very special US Zone Label (which dates him so precisely) to the inside of his leg.I haven’t come across a bear like Andrew before. He’s a really wonderful bear, very attractive and would make a superb addition to any Steiff or Teddy Bear collector.
