Teddy Jacob: Rare Steiff + Provenance FF Button ~Loud Growler~ Old Antique German Teddy Bear
This is Teddy Jacob, a 1930s Steiff bear with fantastic provenance.Jacob came to us from Germany and is shown with a photograph of him with his original owner, Anneliese, in 1939 (the details are written on the back of the photograph)He is also accompanied by a letter from the family, written on Jacob’s behalf in German (we are including a translated English copy with the purchase). The letter explains Jacob’s life and how he had his clothes specially-made for him as he became worn.His clothes, wow! They are extremely high quality, made of wonderful suit material with buttons, zipper and fastenings! He has a wardrobe of bowler hat, glasses, shirt, bow tie, waistcoat, trousers, socks and shoes!Jacob, is just gorgeous. He has such a lovely shape, with long arms and a long pointed nose with just a little wear to it. He has glass eyes (one slightly bigger than the other), nice condition original pads, and his back is still fluffy – he’s lovely to hold.He’s a weighty bear, fully jointed and woodwool stuffed, with a lovely hump and his growler is still loud!Jacob is around 16.5 inches tall and has retained his FF button in his left ear.He would make a very special teddy friend, as he deserves to be treasured and make new memories.The photographs form part of the description so please look at them carefully.
