This bear was bequeathed by a grandmother and could have been own by her mother, which would make it pre-1900s. Who knows?
Looks hand stitched. Has moveable limbs including head. All stuffed with a hard material. The limbs are supported on a metal frame – see images.
Obvious wearing to stitched nose mouth and paws. Looks like a cheeky Merrythought but there is nothing, absolutely nothing to indicate this other than the style.
There is a small split on one arm seam.
I hope you can give this bear a kind and protective home.
