Schubert is a wonderful and rare Helvetic musical teddy bear c1925 measuring approx. 16″ excluding his ears. Schubert has around 70% of his long silky mohair remaining which was once blue. This can still be seen in his joints; he’s now a lovely creamy colour with his original HUGE orange and black possum like eyes, original  nose/mouth stitching. felt paws and pads which have some small holes but are very stable with no leaking of wood wool. All joints move freely. Best of all Schubert still plays when his tummy is squeezed. It’s a very loud and clear tune but I cannot quite name the tune. He has an amazing face and sports an old  card clown hat.
These wonderful bears were around for a very short period during the 1920’s a time of great fun and frivolity before the great depression of the 1930’s.
Thanks for looking
