TRAINS – ROLY POLY rag book by Dean’s Ragbook Co Ltd.
First printed in 1911 and in print until 1918 this rag book product features
trains in various settings and could be used as a rag book or nursery banner.
Illustrated by Elizabeth Anne Travis the book has 8 colours and ribbon ties
at one end for fastening the book when rolled up.
This was book number 135 and is one of only 6 editions of Roly Poly rag
books produced.
The condition is mainly excellent except for the first page which is partly stained
see photo 1 and has a slight tear near the title – Trains.
There is also a small hole near the centre of the rag book
The edges are straight stitched and the Dean’s ‘2-dogs’ logo appears on the last page.
