Rose | 1920’s Rare White Steiff Bear
Introducing Rose! She’s a wonderful bear dating to the 1920’s and was made by the German company Steiff.
She measures around 8inches tall, is fully jointed and stuffed with woodwool. Rose has a beautiful shape with long arms, big feet, hump, and has warm white mohair.
She retains her original painted back glass eyes, and lovely brown facial and claw stitching. She has shaken a lot of paws over the years and her hands have been covered in leather, though her felt foot pads are original. Although she has lost her button, I’m in no doubt at all that she is a Steiff bear and is a very pretty example.
Rose enjoys flowers, and has been adorned at some point with a pretty pink ribbon with a flower which really compliments her pretty face.
Antique Steiff bears are joyous, and are a must for any antique bear collection. She feels wonderful to hold, just a lovely size, I think she’s very cute!
Rose is excited to make more memories for another 100 years if given a home by that special person!!
