Lovely antique rare to find Dean’s Rag Book teddy bear called ‘Edward’, dating from 1937-1939,bearing two original well loved white green printed labels to pads,
made of blonde mohair,
feels to be hard stuffed with cotton flock throughout the body and head, wood-wool to the muzzle,
fully jointed,
has got original clear and black glass eyes with little remains of painted backs,pronounced muzzle,
black vertically stitched nose, inverted Y shape mouth stitching,
original velvet pads with slight general wear,
five webbed claws stitching to paws,five claws to feet,
has got working growler in a tummy,rounded hump.
Teddy Bear is approx. 21″ (53 cm) tall.
Condition – item is in original antique condition with general wear, thinning and balding patches.
