A very collectable teddy bear made by Alresford Crafts in England.This particular toy/bear was made between 1972-1979 – this is determined by the label – this can be easily researched, as can the history of Alresford CraftsThis type of Bear is a very special bear because he was designed with a flat bottom which makes it easy for him to bend his legs and sit down properly – style which Alresford Crafts claimed was unique at the time.He measures approx 19″ tall from ear to toe and 13″ tall when sitting
He is a lovely rich golden brown colour, is well stuffed and a nice shape making him lovely to cuddle.
I’m not an official grader of bears but He is in super condition – fur nice and bright, bright eyes – potentially plastic safety. A real opportunity to add an extra special vintage bear to your collection.Older bears made at the Old Mill up until about 1979 have this sort of libelany question please ask
