This old Chad Valley clown teddy bear dates to the 1930s and was very much loved in his day! There is overall wear and balding to the gold and red mohair. The photos show him clearly and he is certainly only for those who like their bears a bit more worn! Totally delightful, his head and arm joints are now stitched and there are darns to the face. One eye is a well-matched replacement, the back of one hand is damaged and he has patches on his hands and feet (the wood wool is exposed where a patch has come unstitched on one foot). Ted is still in strong condition though and oozes character! He is filled with wood wool and measures 13.5″ tall.
