Two old toysa lovely cloth toy and a rubber/plastic dollshe has two names on the back but cannot make it out..her eyes open and shut and she just needs a wipe over and the cloth doll is vintage too

“Oscar” – Big Old 1940’s/50’s Chad Valley Bear – Straight out of the Attic

Oscar is a wonderful of bear who has lain unloved in an attic – hence his slightly shocked and overwhelmed expression at finally being free. He is a big chap – 25 inches tall – and very heavy so can only be sent within the UK. I am pretty certain he is an old Chad Valley – there is an outline of what I think is a label to his foot and he has a bit of old fabric to his side – no wording can be seen on it – but he has all the hallmarks of an old Chad – I’m sure he was jolly handsome in his day!

Oscar is fully jointed and a mix of woodwool and kapok stuffed – he is very solid – and very heavy. He has lost a lot of mohair and what remains needs a clean – he needs someone patient and loving to spend time cleaning him up – having said that he is not smelly and has nothing nasty lurking – he has just clearly lived in an attic for far too long.

Oscar’s eyes are replacements as are one of his footpads and half of the other but otherwise he is original. He has quite a sad look about him so it would be lovely to see him go to a good home where he could be loved and treasured as he deserves – he will come as pictured in his dungarees xxxx

Please be aware I am a lover of the tattier old teds with oodles of character so bear this mind before buying – no bear will be perfect – far from it – but I guarantee they are all perfectly adorable. I try to list every bear accurately – if there is anything I forget I can only apologise – I try to put plenty of photos up so please take a good look as these form part of the description. I happily post overseas but anything over 40 in value HAS to be tracked hence overseas postage may seem a lot – if postage is less than quoted I will happily refund the difference. PAIR OF VERY OLD BRITISH DOGS, ANTIQUE c.1930s-1950sThis adorable pair of very old friends need a home together they cannot be separated after solong. One is blind he has lost his eyes and has a small mummy stitched repair to his head poor olddog. Both are old PJ cases very popular at that time for children to put their pyjamas or nightdresses in. they were of course the best friends of the children as they slept on the bed with them usually.They are both in ‘as found’ condition and would greatly benefit from some TLC a good wash and brush up to feel their best again.Dogs Length from front paws to end of the back is 16″ & 17″ approximately. They are… 1. Old small breed dog terrier or hound, he has glass eyes with clear backs a stitched nose andmouth with mohair fur. he is made by a quality maker possibly Chiltern or Farnell but no makers label on him. His zipper works well, the lining is goodfor age with some age wear and fraying to it. 2. Old Peke type dog he has lost his glass eyes and has a small ‘mummy’ stitched repair on the side of his head. his zipper works well and his liningis good for age.
