Old Vintage Antique Teddy Bear. Vintage Old Wendy Boston Jointed Teddy Bear.Charlie is a dear old 12 inch vintage teddy bear made by the English maker Wendy Boston. He is an early version of her bears (which are usually unjointed) and is therefore fully jointed with good joint connections.His label is just visible to his side seam but this is mostly missing. Just the remains of the label are visible.Charlie is soft stuffed throughout with a straw filled snout ( which is a bit stubby ). He has amber and black lock in safety eyes ( which were invented by this maker ) and they have some scuffs. Charle has hand stitched features with a lovely, slightly wonky smile . His paws are made of a chocolate brown coloured velvet. There is some slight wear to them as may be expected for his age. He has a soft golden honey coloured mohair plush which is patchy in places,with visible seams and a non working squeaker in his belly .All these features are typical of an old English bear with a story to tell…Please take a look at the photos as a further description.I post Mon – Fri as promptly as is possible.
