Old vintage antique koala teddy bear. Vintage koala teddy bear.Korky is a characterful, 14 inch koala vintage teddy bear. He has a white/ off white mohair front, and a brown mohair plush head and back. The coverage is very good overall, being a bit patchy and discoloured on the front , and bald/ worn on the outer arms due to age and play wear.He has a jointed head, glass eyes ,and stitched features and is stuffed with straw or wood wool. His right arm hangs a bit loose due to his stuffing shifting over the years. I would guess that he was made in the 1950s but he came to me with some much older toys, so he could be older. He also has the remains of what looks like a swing tag attached to his chest. Oh and his left ear has had some stitching, it’s a bit loose, but could easily be repaired. Korky does show signs of age and lovewear, and is not intended to be used as a toy as he does not have the safety features associated with modern teddy bears.
