Handsome 1940’s-50’s Pedigree gold mohair Teddy bear.
This good looking Pedigree teddy dates to the 1940’s-50’s and is 21″ tall and five ways jointed
with all his joints working smoothly so he can be nicely posed. He no longer has any labels but he has all the characteristics of a Pedigree bear and I am fairly certain he is by this maker.
Ted is stuffed with a mixture of kapok and wood wool with a tilt growler in his tummy which works intermittently and faintly and although he has been loved, as you can see from the photos,
he has still retained approximately 80% of his gold mohair plush with overall thinning and some
small bare patches which do not detract from the character and charm of this lovely bear.
Most of his original features are intact, including his amber and black glass eyes and his moulded
black felt nose and black cotton thread mouth stitching. His paw pads have been recovered in the past with brown velvet which has been glued on neatly and suits him quite well and he is
generally in good, sturdy condition with a bright smile and a very endearing expression and would make a lovely addition to any hug of bears or soft toy collection.
Being offered with a very reasonable buy it now price,but as ever, I am open to all sensible offers.
