Unusual 1950’s-60’s English mohair teddy bear.
This 1950’s-60’s English character teddy bear is in overall very good original
condition although he has replacement plastic eyes. I am not sure who made
this bear and the re are no labels but I am fairly certain he is British. He stands
at 19″ tall and is stuffed with kapok or a similar material with mohair/wool
plush mix with felt pads and felt on the insides of his ears too.
He has a very good coverage of his plush which is a little bit grubby, with
slight thinning and some tiny bare spots but I would estimate he has retained
approximately 98% coverage overall. One felt pad has some small holes but
the others are good and he has 3 claw stitches on each paw. He also has a
tilt growler in his tummy which only works intermittently.
