Old Collectable Vintage Mohair Dog, Glass Eyes, Sewn Nose and Mouth 1940-1950.
I have for sale a delightful little dog, he has been very well loved and his mohair coat is now extremely thin, I would go as far to say that he is more bald than mohair! Under his ears where the fur is protected, it is blonde in colour and the small amount round his face is more brown. It is visible to see where each panel has been stitched together in the making. His stance is naturally laying with head forward and tail pointing to the back of his head, he is in the ‘flopped’ position. He has his original, rounded, clear glass boot button eyes with black centre and his stitched black nose. He is stuffed with wood wool which feels quite thin on the upper part of his back, just below the neck. His legs are not jointed. He measures approx. 7″ in length and 3″ tall in his flopped position. I believe this little fella to have been made by Chad Valley but as the label has gone, I cannot confirm this. Please see photographs for details.
Condition is Used. This little dog is very well used but lovely for a collector.
