Much-Loved Antique 19″ Merrythought Teddy Bear – Missing Eye, Needs TLC – Label
We don’t know how old this lovely teddy bear is, but he has certainly been very well-loved over the years. He is missing much of his fur, particularly on his tummy and back and his right eye is also missing. The pad of his paws are pock-marked and grubby and his mouth and nose are a little threadbare. We can make out that the label on his right foot is a Merrythought one, but it is very hard to read anything else. He has a hard, oval-shaped object in his tummy which may be a music box or growl, but doesn’t work any more – this might explain why his tummy is so badly worn? He has been stitched up in a few places. Please see photos for accurate details of the bear’s condition.
