Mr Mustard: Lovely Old Antique Teddy
Mr Mustard is a very appealing “stick” bear, almost certainly made in America around 1910.He’s a really cute teddy and stands around 46cm/18inches, with a long slender body, straight arms with slightly curved wrists, and little feet on the end of his long straight legs.His ears are set on corner of his head, and are “cut in” to his head. He’s got beautiful little amber glass eyes and a stubby little muzzle.Mr Mustard has very little of his yellowy mohair over the past 100 or so years, and other than the odd small bald patch here and there he’s quite fluffy. He’s also managed to hang on to his mouth, and horizontal nose stitching.His felt pads are original and they’re all in really good condition no holes. He’s fully stuffed with woodwool, and his joints are nice and tight. Inside his tummy is a clunky old growler that now just rattles.All in all Mr Mustard’s a wonderful, cheery little bear, who would add a happy face to any hug. He’s looking for a new home in time for Christmas, and is pictured sat in front of our Christmas tree, along with several of his teddy buddies, all of whom are available to purchase separately in my other listings.
