Marmaduke..Adorable early Chiltern teddy bear.Dating circa 1920-1930.Measuring 25″ from tips of ears to bottom of pads.Is five way jointed and all joints turn and are firm.Filled with wood wool to head,the rest of teddy is mostly filled with kapok which gives him a lovely soft hug.Stuffing has settled over the years and being a large old boy his head slumps which is quite endearing.Original large glass eyes.Remains of original stitched nose and mouth.Five original stitched claws remain on his large carded feet.Most of his four stitched claws to hand pads.Original velveteen pads which do show some wear but overall are good and strong with some weakness only to the edges.As images show most of mohair has been worn away and he is quite bald in many places.Marmaduke wears the most charming antique velvet handmade two piece suit which keeps him warm and dignified.A wonderful old character.From smoke free home.No nasty odours.Any questions please ask..
