This lovely little bear is so cute as he always seems to be looking skywards, as his head is upturned. I have no idea of his make, He has felt paw pads, which are original, and are all in excellent condition. This would probably date him to the 1920’s/30’s.He has rather large ears…I think these may have been sewn back on at some stage as there are a few crude stitches.He has a very slight semblance of a hump, and measures 14 inches.He has glass eyes and original nose and mouth stitching.The head is straw filled, with kapok elsewhere. The mohair is thick and luxuriant. It has faded a bit to his front, as you can see the colour is more vibrant to his back. There are a couple of balding patches,….to the back of his head , backs of ears, and to the top of his right leg, but overall a very good mohair coverage.All joints work well, and there are no holes.He also wanted to wear his little plaid trousers for the photos, which he likes to wear on those chillier evenings. These will be included.He is adorable, soft and fluffy…you can’t help but want to give him a cuddle.A very clean little bear with no nasty odours.
