Here’s Herbert, a sweet, long-nosed Steiff bear with an impressive humped back c.1920s (no button). He measures 50 cms (20″) tall, and has original back-painted glass eyes and felt pads – some with patched repairs. His left footpad has a few tiny holes, and most of his claws are intact.
In the past, Herbert’s protruding muzzle has been neatly repaired, and his nose and mouth sympathetically re-stitched. He’s stuffed with woodwool, and there’s a little settlement in the top of one arm, and also around his chest, making his head slump in a very endearing way. His joints all work fine, and his gold mohair is plentiful, with his face and back of head showing the most loss.
Overall, Herbert is a dear old ted, dressed in his favourite French embroidered Paris jacket, pinned with an Eiffel Tower. He’s a big romantic at heart! Thanks for looking x. PLEASE NOTE I’M AWAY FROM 19TH-21ST JANUARY.
TRACKED POSTAGE TO EUROPE IS 18.00 GBP, AND REST OF WORLD 25 GBP.
