A lovely cuddly old bear, with lots of pale gold/blonde mohair and a growler that makes a brief grunt c.1940s. He’s called Squint, on account of his fur covering half of his left eye, which makes him look as though he’s squinting. He measures 56 cms (22″) tall, and is heavily stuffed with wartime cotton-sub. Squint’s eyes are original amber glass, and his nose and mouth are embroidered in black thread. He has brown felt old replaced pads, and is fully-jointed. Squint’s stuffing has settled slightly around his neck so his head slumps forward a little, but his burly chest amply supports it! There’s some loss of fur to his left arm, otherwise he’s in great condition. This cute character is wearing his chunky handknitted waistcoat with hand-dyed neck-ribbon. Thanks for looking.
