A delightful, antique diddy Steiff bear made without pads c.1920s (no button). Little Annie with her joyous smile, is 13 cms (5″) tall. Stuffed with woodwool, she has original glass eyes, and a black-stitched nose and mouth, which may have been re-sewn I’m not sure. Her joints work fine, but her side squeaker packed up long ago. Apart from a small threadbare area under her chin, Annie is a lovely strong ted with plenty of gold mohair. This engaging character is wearing an old dress cut down to size from a slightly larger one. It’s tied at the waist with stretchy black lace that Annie also uses as a scarf or shawl.
