This fabulous old chap is Lester – he is an old 1930’s Chiltern who just oozes adorability (if that is a word!) – if it is not then I have just invented it for Lester. He is just 11 inches tall and would have been fully jointed but one of his legs is now missing the joint & has been stitched in place – as you can see he is able to sit perfectly well but he would benefit from being re-jointed. He is a mix of woodwool & kapok stuffed with a non-working squeaker. He has his original velvet pads – the velvet is now a little worn – but they are all intact – & he has a still good covering of mohair – about 70%. His backing fabric has darkened a little giving him a lovely rich colour which I love. Chester has the BEST face – so loveable – I think his eyes may be replacements but if so they suit him beautifully. Lester has clearly had a bit of a rough time but despite this remains a gorgeous bear – he is not perfect – but if you like your bears oozing character & charm then this little chap is the one for you. He will come as pictured in his antique vest with old pin xxx
Please be aware I am a lover of the tattier old teds with oodles of character so bear this mind before buying – no bear will be perfect – far from it – but I guarantee they are all perfectly adorable. I try to list every bear accurately – if there is anything I forget I can only apologise – I try to put plenty of photos up so please take a good look as these form part of the description. I will happily ship overseas but anything over 40 must be tracked & insured xxx
Due to this dreadful virus my post office is very unpredictable so I may use Hermes tracked. I will ship overseas and will of course use the post office for that shipping but it may take me a little longer to get around to it (we are talking a few days longer – not weeks!) Stay safe everyone xxx
