Here’s a lovely bright gold mohair ted, possibly Merrythought c.1940s. He has his original owner’s name tag ‘JENNIFER ARCHER’ sewn to his left foot, so most likely accompanied her to boarding school. Measuring 36 cms (14″) tall, teddy is stuffed mostly with woodwool and fully-jointed.

He’s all original with amber glass eyes, and embroidered features. His cotton twill pads are in minty condition, but his squeaker has packed up. ‘Archer’ as I’ve nicknamed him, has cute curved paws, and a stargazing, mouse-like muzzle, with small pricked up ears. His fur coverage is plentiful, and he’s a great little character, very sturdy and clean, wearing his lemon knitted jumper. Thanks for looking.
