This enormous antique toy rabbit has to have been made as a shop display piece because he stands a whopping 40″, including his ears.His arms are wire jointed, otherwise he is in fixed position. His white mohair is soft and fairly clean, if a little faded in places – with some marks and patchy places of wear,My guess is that this fabulous toy is by Einco (he has similar to Einco googly glass eyes) and he possibly pre dates the more famous Chiltern skater teddy and rabbit designs from the 1930s.The Chiltern skater rabbits and teddy bears are generally made from better quality mohair than used for my rabbit – but even so, he is very like them. His blue parts are fabric dyed – the colour is probably very similar to the original blue.There are a number of inevitable imperfections and some amateuer repairs, but his general condition is actually fairly good.He is seen in some of the pictures with other smaller toys – these are there to show the rabbit’s large size and so are not included in the sale.What a great Easter Bunny this boy is – a really special gift for someone special this Easter.Postage is 10 and is restricted to mainland UK addresses only.
