Henry is a gorgeous old jointed bear, with a zipped compartment in his back for pyjamas or nightie, dating to the 1950s. He is 22″ tall with large glass eyes, and a hand stitched nose and mouth. He looks exactly like the Farnell bears from this period, and Farnell made a lot of bears with red paw pads. However, towards the middle of the 1950s rival manufacturer cottoned on to this and started making similar bears with red pads so i think the safest thing to suggest is that he is by one of these two highly reputable UK teddy bear makers. He has no areas of wear, is fresh and clean smelling and would make a lovely addition to any old bear collection.
